The Onalaska Apple Harvest Festival, Lewis County's newest community celebration, brought hundreds of people from near and far to the community of Onalaska to celebrate autumn and the revitalization of the central Lewis County community.
Festivities began Friday and continued into Saturday, which was graced with tremendous weather that brought people out for events such as the community parade, apple cider pressing demonstrations, pie eating contest, canoe races and live music. Of course, the weekend was so chock-full of events that there was plenty for the entire family to enjoy. Food, fun and much more kept the town humming through Sunday.
The Onalaska Alliance presented this year's festivities, which was the seventh annual Apple Harvest Festival. According to the Alliance, visitors from as far away as the East Coast and even Warsaw, Poland stopped into Onalaska where they enjoyed the celebrations.
The Apple Harvest Festival takes place the first weekend of October yearly. Be sure to mark it on your calendar for 2016!
