Furrow Horse Farm, a new addition to Lewis County's agricultural community, prides itself on the use of draft horses instead of heavy machinery to help with planting, discing and more.
The use of draft horses is part of the farm's effort to decrease consumption of fossil fuels and take the best care of the land possible.
Owned and operated by Brandon Wickes and Caitlin Arnold in the foothills of the Cascades near Morton, Furrow Horse Farm draws on their more than 10 years of organic farming experience.
The farm recently began selling its produce at the Community Farmers Market at Chehalis, and also offers a community-supported agriculture program.
