Longmire Historic District

The entire area of Longmire, consisting of the Mount Rainier Administrative Building, the National Park Inn and a restaurant among others, are all listed on the National Register of Historic Places and the Washington Heritage Register.

Listed in 1991, the Longmire area is a prime example of the rich history that is contained in the park. Visit Mount Rainier for the beauty, but make sure you learn about the heritage of this historic area too!
