Scout Lodge was built as part of a New Deal program for citywide park improvements in Chehalis in 1937.
Part of a $47,000 allotment went to pay for the construction of the lodge for recreation for Boy Scouts and members of the public.
It once hosted an Assembly of God church congregation for nine years as well. Today it is maintained by the Chehalis Parks Department and help from volunteers, and — you guessed it — serves as a meeting spot for Boy Scout troops too!
