World-renowned pianist Charlie Albright returns home to Centralia for a one-night only performance at Centralia College's Corbet Theatre April 8 at 7 p.m.
Albright, a piano prodigy from a very young age, is a 2014 recipient of the Avery Fisher Career Grant and the 2010 Gilmore Young Artist Award, and has performed with cellist Yo-Yo Ma, Boston Pops and many more well-known artists throughout the United States and the world. A graduate of Centralia College, Albright is performing this concert, An Evening with Charlie, to raise money for scholarships through the Centralia College Foundation.
Albright will perform pieces from his newest CD and, as is a custom at his concerts, time for improvisation.
Tickets are $30 for reserved general seating and $40 for box seats. This concert is expected to sell out, so purchase your tickets soon at the official ticketing website.
Doors will open at 6:30 p.m., with music beginning at 7:00.
