The Packwood Mountain Festival is coming May 3-5. The three-day event features fun for all ages, including demonstrations, live music, kids' crafts and more. Festivities start Friday at noon and last until Sunday evening. The event is family friendly and open for everyone. For a full list of events, see the event schedule. The festival's annual Fun Run will take place May 5. To take part in the Fun Run, register here. Choose from either a 5-kilometer or 10-kilometer course; the kids can also run a 1K! Let the spirit of the holiday surround you during the Christmas in the Mountains Festival of Trees! The Barbara Clevenger Johnson Gallery in downtown Morton transforms into a winter wonderland forest to last all weekend long. The trees, ornately decorated, will be on display Dec. 7 through Dec. 9.

The event is open to the public and features Grand Entry at both 1 and 7 p.m., with a salmon dinner at 5 p.m.
The Pow Wow, in its 17th year, will feature Tanna Chattin-Engdahl as Head Woman Dancer, Mark Sison as Head Man Dancer, and The Allen Family Singers as Host Drum.

January 9th is sheering day at the Black Sheep Farm and you are invited to celebrate! Bring your spindles and wheels and prepare to have fun. there will be mini demonstrations covering topics like cotton spinning, flax spinning, wheel maintenance, which spindle type suits you and much more. There are even some wacky activities planned!
Don't spin? There will be wheels and spindles for you to try out and just see what it is all about! So plan to visit Ewe and I on January 9th between 11am and 5 pm for a celebration of Fiber!
