Northwest Sports Hub

The Northwest Sports Hub in Centralia is a collection of athletic fields and facilities, including a 73,000-square-foot indoor sports center, that aims to be the ultimate sports destination between Seattle and Portland.

The Northwest Sports Hub is fast becoming one of the premier locations for weekend sports tournaments in the state of Washington, and the numbers have proven it so far with activity bustling at the sports complex week in and week out.

Sports Is the Focus
Opened in 2014 as part of a public-private partnership with the City of Centralia, Centralia School District, Lewis County Public Facilities District and Northwest Sports Hub, LLC — the Northwest Sports Hub has grown to host events from such organizations as USSSA Softball, USA Wrestling, the All Northwest Football Elite Passing Academy and much more. And did you know that the world's largest pickleball tournament was held right there at the Sports Hub in May 2016?

The main building itself, the indoor sports center, boasts 73,000 square feet of modular space. It has proven to be a needed addition to the Northwest sports scene, hosting sports otherwise played outdoors under a covered roof sheltered from wind and weather — ideal for year-round play!

Think large tournaments: six full-size basketball courts, 10 volleyball courts and an overflow area for baseball and softball tournaments that can be held at the numerous fields outside. Wheeler Field, Centralia’s prime baseball venue, and Tiger Stadium, which boasts a new FieldTurf surface, complete the offerings of the Sports Hub.

The indoor facility itself can host the following configurations:
- Six full-size basketball courts
- Ten volleyball courts
- Two full-size indoor soccer fields
- Pickleball courts
- A full-sized field configurable for Little League or Softball

Men's and women's locker rooms, more than fourteen thousand feet of spectator space in the mezzanine, and the Hub City Grub concession stand round out the offerings of the indoor sports center.

Other Facilities
Other facilities that make up the overall Northwest Sports Hub complex include baseball and softball fields that are bisected by Pioneer Way. Wheeler Field, the primary baseball venue in Centralia, is located a few hundred feet from the front door of the indoor sports facility. Multiple other fields at the hub and Fort Borst Park host tournaments and sports leagues throughout the year.

Tiger Stadium, home to Centralia High School's football and soccer teams and also Centralia College women's soccer, is also available for rent as needed. It's located directly behind the indoor facility.

Event & Banquet Space
The Northwest Sports Hub also transforms into an event and banquet space. Roll away the sports carpet and the venue becomes ideal for stage productions, trade shows, banquets and more. The annual Lewis County Home & Garden Show, presented by the Centralia-Chehalis Chamber of Commerce, has called the Sports Hub home since it opened.
