The second installment of the Evergreen Playhouse's 2017-18 season, "Children of Eden," hits the stage in December.

From the Playhouse:

From musical theatre greats, Stephen Schwartz and John Caird, comes a joyous and inspirational musical about parents, children, and faith... not to mention centuries of unresolved family business! The story, based on the first 9 chapters of the biblical book of Genesis, follows Adam, Eve, Noah and the "Father" who created them as they deal with the headstrong, cataclysmic actions of their respective children. The show ultimately delivers a bittersweet, but inspiring, message: that "the hardest part of love... is letting go."

This adaptation of Children of Eden is directed by Danielle Rivers and runs Dec. 1-17 at the Evergreen Playhouse in Centralia. Performances take place Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. Artist's Pay-What-You Can Thursday is Oct. 19 at 7:30 p.m.
