Once a key stop on the Northern Pacific rail line, today Adna contains its own church, general store and maintains a vibrant school system.
Back Memorial and Rose county parks offer opportunities for recreation. Boy Scout troops having worked to revamp the facilities at Rose Park just off Penning Road, and their work is prominently displayed. Back Memorial, meanwhile, is a mecca for youth sports in west Lewis County, especially during the spring and summer when the fields come to life with children and teens playing softball and baseball.
A trailhead for the Willapa Hills Trail, linking Chehalis to Pe Ell and points in between, is located just off Dieckman Road and is a perfect spot for walkers, joggers, cyclists and equestrians to begin their journey.
