Discover Lewis County will bring tourism partners, community leaders, businesses, and organizations from across the county together for the 2026 Discover Lewis County Tourism Summit & Leadership Awards on Friday, September 18, 2026, at The Mason Jar in Onalaska. The event will celebrate the people and partnerships driving tourism forward while providing an opportunity to connect, learn, and look ahead to the future of Lewis County as a destination.
This year’s summit will feature presentations from Lewis County Commissioner Scott Brummer; Lisa Smith with the Washington State Microenterprise Association; and Matthew Ozuna with State of Washington Tourism. Together, the speakers will bring local and statewide perspectives on tourism, small business, economic development, and opportunities to strengthen communities through collaboration.
The evening will also include networking, dinner, and an introduction to Discover Lewis County’s 2027 “Discover Volcano Country” marketing plan, offering tourism partners a look at the strategies that will help guide destination marketing in the coming year.
A highlight of the evening will be the 2026 Tourism Leadership Awards, recognizing the people and organizations whose work is helping make Lewis County a destination worth discovering.
These awards recognize the individuals, businesses, organizations, events, and volunteers who are helping strengthen tourism across Lewis County through leadership, visitor experience, collaboration, stewardship, community impact, and service.
Community members, tourism partners, businesses, and organizations were encouraged to submit nominations and help recognize the people and partnerships making Lewis County a welcoming and memorable destination.
