Starting at Walupt Lake Campground, the trail climbs steeply through mossy forest, wildflower meadows, and huckleberry bushes before reaching a panoramic ridge rim.
From this vantage, hikers are treated to sweeping views of Mount Adams, Goat Rocks, and, on a clear day, distant Mount Rainier Following the ridgeline leads to tranquil Sheep Lake, nestled amid alpine meadows and offering peaceful lakeside views.
