If you’re looking for a charming, fun-filled summer event for the whole family, look no further than the annual Winlock Egg Days in the heart of Lewis County. This event, steeped in history and community spirit, offers a festive mix of entertainment, activities, and, of course, eggs! Mark your calendars for June 14–16, 2024.
The community of Winlock has a rich history tied to the poultry industry. Once home to a well-known and immense egg-producing industry, Winlock proudly celebrates its heritage with the Egg Days festival, an event that dates back to the first celebration on August 13, 1921. Over the years, Egg Days has grown into a vibrant community gathering, drawing visitors from around the region to honor the town’s legacy and enjoy a weekend of family-friendly fun.
One of the event highlights, the Egg Days parade, will be at 11 a.m. on June 15th and is a must-see spectacle during the weekend fun. Watch as a procession of floats, marching bands, vintage cars, and community groups winds its way through the streets of Winlock. The parade is a perfect blend of small-town charm and creativity, showcasing the community spirit in Winlock.
During the weekend, explore the car show, and listen to live bands. Don’t miss out on the free egg salad sandwiches and a visit to the Winlock Historical Museum to experience the history firsthand. Browse through the variety of vendors, and enjoy free entertainment throughout the town. There will be axe throwing, a reptile show, a magic show, and a plant sale. Saturday will conclude with a street dance at The Club Tavern at 8 p.m.
